<p>The first sector is <strong>Consumer</strong>, where H/A spreads widened on average 0.6% for the week, after running 3.5% wider the previous week. Individual stock movement in the sector was striking. <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/byd-co-ltd-h" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:20962:1" rel="noopener">BYD (1211 HK)</a> and <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/guangzhou-automobile-group-co-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:11082:1" rel="noopener">Guangzhou Automobile Group (2238 HK)</a> narrowed on strong H-share performance in the week, and <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/great-wall-motor-co-ltd-cb302af9-398c-4d2d-ba39-023e43287eef" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:128:1" rel="noopener">Great Wall Motor (2333 HK)</a> and <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/tsingtao-brewery-co-ltd-h" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:1296:1" rel="noopener">Tsingtao Brewery Co Ltd H (168 HK)</a> widened, though Great Wall had a great week. The entire sector has had an absolutely phenomenal post-Golden Week run with all the auto-related stocks doing VERY well (but all of them seeing their H/A spreads widen over the period. The average H-share in the sector gained 10.5% last week and has gained 27.8% since the start of the Golden Week holiday.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/nexteer-automotive-group-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:15483:1" rel="noopener">Nexteer Automotive (1316 HK)</a> share price has blown out in the past week, raising the question of whether it is time to sell or hold. </p>
<p>The company has a pipeline of exciting and futuristic product innovation that will keep its existing customers (conventional automakers) happy while also winning more mandates in the EV industry.   </p>
<p>There will be a slight margin decline in the 2H 2020 from the North American customers but the increasing proportion of Chinese customers should help to plug the gap. The company is still trading on the 49% and 48% discount on PER and EV/EBITDA of its customers respectively.</p>

Nexteer Automotive (1316 HK) share price has blown out in the past week, raising the question of whether it is time to sell or hold.

However, CAAM estimates that China's passenger vehicle sales in September increased by 7.6% yoy, indicating the sector recovery remains solidly on track.</strong></p><p><strong>Meanwhile,  September sales data announcements from local leaders, including Geely, BYD, Great Wall and Changan Auto, confirmed that auto demand keeps warming up. In September, Geely </strong><strong>(175.HK)auto sales increased by 11% yoy, within which its Lynk&amp;Co sales grew by 38% yoy. Great Wall (2333.HK) reported an 18% yoy sales growth.
