Tripura, India's second largest rubber-producing state after Kerala, is raring to make an impressive jump in rubber production. Under the INROAD project piloted by ATMA (Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association) and Rubber Board, the state aims to bring 30,000 hectares more under rubber cultivation by 2026, significantly raising the area of rubber plantations in the state from the present 85,000 hectares.
