The rising&nbsp;trend in global online shopping, and e-commerce have gradually changed the retail landscape where shoppers,&nbsp;including those from overseas, could just shop for bargains with just the click of the mouse. This has proven&nbsp;quite challenging for retail shop owners and landlords when both parties enter into negotiations for lease&nbsp;renewals, as reliance on overseas visitor arrivals alone to prop up rental prices appears to face some challenges&nbsp;ahead.In this article, we will like to find out if:<ul><li>The general increasing rate of overseas tourists has translated into higher&nbsp;retail rentals around the island.&nbsp;</li><li>We shall be taking a closer look at the median retail rentals for shops located in&nbsp;the heart of Orchard Road (Singapore’s favourite shopping belt), rest of the city area, and suburban areas.&nbsp;</li><li>We&nbsp;will also be overlaying the quarterly overseas visitor arrivals to find out, if any, there could be some explanation&nbsp;in the relationship among retail shop rentals and how overseas visitor arrivals are influencing monthly shop&nbsp;rentals. </li></ul>
