Albert brings over three decades of experience from the financial industry, having worked with top institutions across the UK, Americas, and Asia. His broad expertise spans investments in multiple asset classes and extends to risk management.

In a previous role, Albert served as the Head of Alternative Investments at Shinsei Bank in Japan, where he oversaw a varied portfolio comprising private equity, hedge funds, reinsurance, credit, and other assets. His distinguished career has seen partnerships with prestigious institutions such as HVB, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Nomura International, Mariner Investment Group, Allied Capital Asset Management, and the Central Bank of Chile.

Albert is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and is an alumnus of the Universidad Católica de Chile, with a degree in Business and Economics

Trade sanctions on China with the next round coming into effect on Monday (and more on storage from January) plus looming US sanctions against Iran's starting November 5 (which will put up pressure on oil prices and inflation) all add to an ill-timed expansionary fiscal policy in the US.
Although none of those factors look overly threatening on an individual basis, when combined, they will probably send inflation running wild and make the Fed in the process tighten interest rates much faster than markets currently expect, to catchup.
The market is not pricing in an scenario of higher inflation as yet (nor is the Fed). 
Expect TIPS to outperform Treasuries over the next 3 to 6 months. Read on for details.
