<p>We are overweight Taiwan and underweight Korea in our relative regional equity portfolio in 2020. Both Taiwanese and Korean 4QGDP beat market expectations. Korea's growth outlook is improving while Taiwan is going from strength to strength. We prefer Taiwan though,  in part because the business cycle upswing is broad based and in part because Korean companies face considerable headwinds despite the improving global trade outlook. </p>
