<p>Under the merger agreement between Bermuda-based Aspen Insurance and Apollo Global Management, the private equity firm agreed to buy the company for $2.6 billion, or $42.75 per share in cash, subject to Aspen not suffering catastrophe losses for the period of July 1, 2018, through January 31, 2019 (or the closing date if it occurs first), of more than $350 million net of reinsurance.</p>
