Ten months after his appointment as StarHub Ltd's Chief Financial Officer, Dennis Chia finds he has grown into the role.
"Coming into this new environment, the challenge is not so much in learning the ins-and-outs of the business, but adjusting to the culture, and getting a sense of the people I work with and the team I've inherited," Chia said.
"Over the past 10 months, I've seen changes in the way I react to things - taking a few steps back to assess a situation, and adjusting my approach to achieve the same results. I would definitely say I've gotten a little more patient too," he added reflectively.
Chia, 47, was appointed CFO of Singapore's second-largest telecoms operator last July. He previously held financial leadership positions in chip packaging firm STATS ChipPAC, automotive parts maker Lear Corporation, audio equipment maker Behringer Group, and regional IT services provider Frontline Technologies.
