<strong>3Q16 growth upwardly revised</strong>: GDP rose 1.1% y/y in 3Q16, down from 2.0% in 2Q16 but higher than the earlier estimate of 0.6%. Improvements in the manufacturing sector, propped up by the electronics and precision engineering clusters, led the upward revision. The manufacturing sector grew 1.3% y/y in 3Q16, down from 1.4% in 2Q16. But the services sector barely grew in 3Q16, down from 1.2% in 2Q16: key engines such as business services and wholesale &amp; retail trade showed worrying weakness.</li>
