<strong>Bank lending jumped</strong> by 5.4% y/y in Mar 18, increasing further from +3.7% y/y in Feb 18. This came on the back of solid growth in loans to financial institutions and home buyers. Business loans increased 5.4% y/y in Mar 18, more than double of Feb 18’s rate of 2.9%. Building and construction loans, the largest segment in business lending, contracted 0.4% y/y while loans to financial institutions, the second-largest segment, surged +17.9% from 9.4% in Feb 18.</li>
