Olamâ€™s FY 2019 earnings were satisfactory, on account of the y-o-y growth in revenue (+8%) and reported EBITDA (+26%). That said, net debt increased 7%, owing to working capital outflows and higher capex. Leverage was largely unchanged but still very high, with Debt/EBITDA at almost 8x and Debt/Capitalisation at 66%. We view positively Olamâ€™s plan to reorganise into two (or more) publicly listed entities, as it helps to simplify each entity and separate the riskier gestating businesses from the more established ones. More importantly, we believe the re-organisation will help improve the overall level of disclosure, as there will be separate financials for OFI and OGA upon listing.
