<p>LG Chem has two classes of stock: ordinary shares <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/lg-chem-ltd" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:3583:1">LG Chem Ltd (051910 KS)</a> and the preferred shares <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/lg-chem-ltd-d9bc981c-8f0e-4d1b-bded-e7f1f63a4b30" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:26938:1">LG Chem Ltd (051915 KS)</a>. Typically, these two classes trade in a very narrow band and arbitrageurs move in when the ratio of the two securities reaches either end of the band.</p><p>Currently, the ordinary shares are trading at the cheaper end of the short term band and are showing signs of bottoming out versus the preferred shares. We expect the ordinary shares to outperform the preferred shares in the near term by around 4% absolute.</p>
