Keymed Biosciences is a China-based biotech company which focuses on therapeutic areas of autoimmune and oncology. The company launched book building to raise up to USD 400m via a Hong Kong listing.In our previous note, we looked at the three key products of the company, namely CM310 (IL-4Rα), CM326 (TSLP) and CMG901 (Claudin 18.2). The company has a differentiated product portfolio with a focus on allergic diseases, including CM310 and CM326 which complement each other for allergic diseases. Both CM310 and CM326 are leading the R&amp;D progress in respective targets. CMG901 is the first CLDN 18.2 that received IND approval worldwide. The drawback for the company is that it is still three years away from commercialization and the ramp-up will not be that fast for allergic disease as compared to blockbuster oncology drugs. The company was founded by a management team with proven success in drug R&amp;D. Overall, we think the differentiated product offering is interesting to investors.In this note, we provide an update for the book building. We think there is a free option for investors in the IPO for its overseas potential.
