<p>China’s industrial profits drop more than 9.2% in YoY comparisons. The 9% drop comes from calculating data from the National Bureau of Statistics. What is interesting is that the National Bureau of Statistics still put out an “official” rate of the profit rate of industrial enterprises of -2.9% growth. As seen in figure 1 this implies that the calculated vs. official profit numbers illustrate a huge disconnect in China between what is going on and what China is willing to admit to itself what is going on.</p>
