<p>The IMF concluded Article IV talks in April 2015 and is optimistic on Singapore&rsquo;s prospects, <em>prima facie</em>, but has recommended continued monetary and fiscal easing to pre-empt downside risks.&nbsp;However, we think that the picture is not as rosy as what the IMF has painted - structural deficiencies continue to plague Singapore&rsquo;s economy and further policy easing looks to be necessary&nbsp;to arrest the slide in economic growth.</p>
