BACKGROUND
I have 20+yrs experience in Asia doing alternative strategies (i.e. non-delta1 non long-only) in fixed income, equity derivatives, and activist/catalyst/event-driven and long-short equity strategies with most of that time spent managing money. 

4 years in fixed income macro, 8 years running internal hedge fund and 4yrs investment banking at Citi in Japan, 3 years running an Asia multi-strat portfolio at a hedge fund, 4+yrs as an independent special situations analyst.

On October 8th, Hillary Clinton offered an Op-Ed on Bloomberg Views (available on the website <a href="http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2015-10-08/hillary-clinton-s-plan-to-prevent-the-next-crash" target="_blank">here</a>) which was a shorter version of her&nbsp;<a href="https://www.hillaryclinton.com/p/briefing/factsheets/2015/10/08/wall-street-work-for-main-street/" target="_blank">FactSheet</a>&nbsp;which appeared on her campaign website.In the spirit of brevity and offering homage (and profuse laudation and encomium) to the wordsmithing of&nbsp;Lin-Manuel Miranda's excellent new musical Hamilton,&nbsp;I offer a pitiful attempt at poetry, possibly in the style of 'Aaron Burr, Sir' which I think sums up her piece.There's a bit of rough&nbsp;in her&nbsp;<a href="https://www.hillaryclinton.com/p/briefing/factsheets/2015/10/08/wall-street-work-for-main-street/" target="_blank">plan</a>,&nbsp; Lots of huff and puff, acting tough in her plan, Get buff, Knock-Wall-Street-on-its-Can in her plan, But not tough enough&nbsp;to bother the man, No bran&nbsp;-&nbsp;fighting with fluff, just doesn't scan. It's&nbsp;mostly just pan, pan, pan -der to Main Street man...&nbsp;And Elizabeth Warren.That's it for my brevity, and thankfully, my rhyme.But that's about it for her piece too. There is quite a&nbsp;bit of gratuitous Wall Street-bashing but very little&nbsp;in there which&nbsp;will actually mean much. Anything which sounds serious is either already in place (regulatory coverage of the banks, going after do-badders), or likely to get knocked down several rungs when it gets to actual legislation (breaking up the big banks).&nbsp;Hillary Clinton&nbsp;takes credit for warning the world about the dangers of derivatives&nbsp;and&nbsp;about subprime mortgages (in 2007),&nbsp;says bad people should be punished, wants Wall Street to be 'HELD&nbsp;ACCOUNTABLE', says she will penalize bad HFTs, rein in the riskiness and complexity of too-big banks, require less risk and more capital of Wall Street, and&nbsp;ease 'burdens' &nbsp;on community banks, and&nbsp;will&nbsp;encourage&nbsp;non-risky&nbsp;lending to those who can't currently borrow (young families looking to buy their first homes for whom a 3% downpayment from Fannie/Freddie/FHA is too burdensome, or small entrepreneurs).&nbsp;She forgets that her husband signed the Commodity Modernization Act of 2000 (including the Enron Loophole), and as an uninformed punter she personally has one of the <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/1994/03/30/us/hillary-clinton-turned-1000-into-99540-white-house-says.html?pagewanted=all" target="_blank">great records of all time</a>&nbsp;in commodity speculation.She wants to forever avoid another situation where millions of taxpayers bail out a few too-big-to-fail institutions (though she favored those few institutions&nbsp;bailing out millions of their customers using their own capital in 2007-2009), and wants to lower the leverage and risk of these banks, but is perfectly happy having banking institutions trying to compete with the FHA, Fannie, and Freddie with their&nbsp;3% down payments to otherwise high-risk&nbsp;borrowers and 100% wholesale&nbsp;funding.She also ignores that&nbsp;the greatest banking crisis of most living market observers'&nbsp;lifetimes (far greater number/percentages of institutions, far greater losses vs.&nbsp;assets, far greater level of what William Black described when he coined the term&nbsp;'control fraud', and far higher taxpayer bailout/losses as a percentage of GDP&nbsp;than the GFC) hit community banks in the S&amp;L Crisis of the mid-80s - a crisis created by deregulation, fraud, excess risk-taking, and lack of financial expertise/understanding on the part of the banks involved.&nbsp;But&nbsp;growth. There will be growth. Long-term growth.&nbsp;&nbsp;Especially for Iowans on October 24th when she visits Des Moines on October 24th with <a href="https://www.hillaryclinton.com/states-signup-pages/ia-20151009-jj-rally/" target="_blank">Katy Perry </a>(someone who just embodies the spirit of Iowa and farmers).All in all, there isn't much in it, but I have at it anyway.
