WSJ reports that WeWork will file bankruptcy next week, pending ongoing discussions with its beleaguered creditors. Surprised? You shouldn't be. WeWork burned through billions in cash during the longest economic expansion ever, including billions in backstop cash. No way it could make it amid tough real-world conditions. Worse, bankruptcy was always in the cards as I noted in this report in 2019.
