Chartonics weekly Monday 2 May 2016 Equity cracks with commodity tail May is seasonally weak for equities. Risk on appears to be mature in DM’s. Weak DXY has given commodities some leverage while EM equities/China face downside pressure.Top trades: 1) Short Euro banks 2) Short China links (AUD, Korea, Singapore AS51) while finessing a copper top 3) US tech relative lead domino turn 4) USD/JPY 105 impact swing and break 5) S&amp;P 2,058 inflection.Clearest relative positioning is now short Europe over the US and short EM’s with DXY headwinds/final stages of oil and copper strength.European banks were touted as the first place to start shorting Europe.AUD/JPY sets a more bearish tone for risk but will flip near USD/JPY 105. AUD bear turn at 0.78 is of significance for China links. Euro 1.1344 short covered to re set near 1.1460/1.15. Holding GBP long from 1.4355. Asia FX divided between dollar base camp and high yield long plays.DXY break below 94 is clearly more Euro/commodity bullish. DXY 92 is the line in the sand for a macro  breakdown or another rise off early 2015 range support. DXY 92 huge implications for commodities.Commodities focus: Brent out of range strength must be re measured as we were looking for a top near 47 and a slide back below 45. Trade plan is not confirming new oil highs! Copper remains a buy with rally target 238/40, can we reach for this zone as China flat lines? Gold surged off of 1,228 support saving it from C wave risk. Platinum is up 8% from our  bullish call (page 11-12). DXY 92 support is extremely pivotal!EEM 34.50 short and looking to add above 35 for slide to 31 where a reaction rally is expected.Asia longs: Nifty long from 7,580 with rally failure bias. H share to turn from long to short on break below 8,800 with a metals kicker. Long Singapore sold at 2,924 and shorted at 2,870. Nikkei 17,250 cut at 17,100 for a 1%+ hit.Asia shorts:  248 Korea short. Bearish/short bias for Taiwan. Thai banks short near sub index 470. DBS 15.70 short, STI short at 2,870. AS51 short from 5,270. HK property shorted at 30,000. Nikkei short zone at 16,900+.USD/JPY – Plunge to 105.00/50 is a USD punt with MT sell zone above 109. Break below 105 targets 102 and would be damaging for global risk.Cycles – May 10 is the next cycle time line.
