S&amp;P RSI triangle and the DXY breakout patterns are the two most important chart patterns that will drive direction for DM’s and EM’s.DXY – 96.50 breakout kissed 97.40 old resistance with pullback risk to 95.80 backswing. Contracting triangles typically see powerful breakout moves with a bullish resolution expected if rising yields hold (weaker for commodities, EM’s and oil pause).S&amp;P fade from 2,165/80 targets 2,090 but we need to see resolution of yet another triangle that has taken shape. RSI will give us a leading signal with our bias for a decline given limited upside potential to 2,190. Currently long NDX, XLF and Transports (adjust below S&amp;P 2,135) while short the S&amp;P and DJI with a game plan to cover shorts on weakness and re load on the long side.Europe – Squared bank short above our 93 pivot resistance. Held Eurostoxx 50 short from 3,030. Europe still holds a weaker relative and absolute bias.EEM - Looking to re set long near 36 support but with the DXY breaking higher we are likely to see the 35/34.50 ideal buy zone.Japan – Short Nikkei from 16,700 with 17,000 resistance. Focus now on USD/JPY 102 turn pivot.Asia longs – India long from Nifty 7,752, looking for a bounce to exit on the back of Nifty bank support breach. H share 9,200 long (will add near this level). Hyundai Motor 129.5k long. Long Catcher and Baidu. Ping An sliced into at 40.70.Asia shorts – HSI pair short (now working again). Short TSMC (need to exit below 180). KOSPI short from 260.75. 495 Thai bank short stopped out for loss of 1.42%, SET 50 960 short. STI short from 5,870 and DBS from 15.50. Shorted Indian banks on break of 19,700. ASX 200 short from 5,470 for a swing to 5,300. Taiwan short probe at 9,250-300.Cycles – October 7 and 15 are key dates that will spark increased volatility possibly into late October. If markets turn down, they could do so heavily particularly once we crack S&amp;P 2,135 support.
