On 17 July, the Czech government announced that it picked South Korea consortium to build two new nuclear power units with the possibility of more, beating EDF (France). This is a major win for KHNP, Doosan Enerbility, and KEPCO E&C. Under the plans, the Korean consortium will build two new nuclear power generation reactors in the Czech Republic with each reactor expected to cost $8.6 billion.
