<p><a href="http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/mf/3401.0?OpenDocument" target="_blank">Recently released data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics</a> (ABS) show that tourism is continuing to boom 'Down Under' with overall visitor arrivals gaining more than 7% in 2017. Inevitably, <strong>China is playing an outsize role</strong> with visitors from the mainland continuing to surge with annual growth of c.13%. The extra 163k Chinese tourists arriving last year represented 27% of the total 595k increase in tourists visiting Australia. </p>
