Residential consents stepped down further in May driven by higher-density dwellings which more than offset a small lift in detached consents; Over the last four months detached dwelling consents have stabilised at c.16.5k (seasonally adjusted and annualised) and our channel checks suggest homebuilder enquiry and sales rates have recently improved.
