<ul><li>In this open letter, I question the CBA's misconduct around financial advice in a vertically integrated model of financial advice and cite a senior economist's call for an inquiry into the conflicted nature of financial advice. Given the growing regulatory risks surrounding the major banks retaining their wealth management arms, I suggest that CBA de-merges Colonial First State.</li><li>I also question the long lasting damage to the CBA's brand and reputation of the scandal surrounding the misconduct and deceptive behaviour of Comminsure.  The path to integrity is best achieved by promoting a culture of disclosure, transparency and accountability not just to shareholders, but also to customers and taxpayers.</li><li>Against the backdrop of these concerns, in addition to the prospects of higher capital requirements and already record low bad &amp; doubtful debts, Evidente's model portfolio retains a zero weight in CBA.</li></ul>
