<li>Juno Therapeutics and Celgene to share Ph I data of their respective BCMA targeted CAR-T therapies in r/r Multiple Myeloma (MM)</li>
<li>While Juno Therapeutics’ BCMA CAR-T therapy reported 100% ORR and no cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurological toxicity related adverse events (AE), Celgene’s BB-21217 reported 86% response rate, however five patients (out of eight) reported to have developed CRS</li>

<li>Celyad’s CAR-T therapy, CYAD-01, targeting NKG2D-ligand (first in class allogeneic CAR-T therapy) reported PhI data from eight r/r AML population including ORR of 42% albeit with two cases of CRS. CYAD-01’s early data is comparable to other CAR-T therapies in development, however, being allogenic CAR-T therapy, it can overcome various hurdles (like manufacturing and cost) of autologous CAR-T therapies.</li>
<li>Amongst Japanese Pharma companies, Daiichi Sankyo, Ono and Otsuka have secured CAR-T therapy rights for the Japanese market from Kite Therapeutics (now part of Gilead), Celyad and Takara Bio respectively.</li>
