<p><a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/alibaba-group-holding-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:787:1">Alibaba Group Holding (BABA US)</a> seems to be going ahead with its rumoured secondary listing in Hong Kong. According to some media reports, Alibaba has confidentially filed for a secondary listing in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) last week to raise $20bn – although there has been no official announcement yet from Alibaba.</p><p>While Alibaba’s secondary listing in Hong Kong could be politically motivated amidst rising tensions between the US and China, we believe such a move won’t be necessarily bad for anyone, including its US shareholders.</p>
