Our process begins by organizing the universe of actively traded stocks into discrete sectors, then into industry groups. We then apply our technical and quantitative tools to identify developing price trends. Once attractive trends are identified within a selected sector or group, we screen for individual stocks which we believe offer the best risk/reward profile. We provide a historical perspective that often reveals, through our long-term charts, how price patterns often repeat themselves over time.

Technical Analysis

The Hang Seng, EURO STOXX 50, MSCI ACWI ex-US, and MSCI EAFE display bearish short-term inflections. Additionally, 10-year yields in the US and Germany are breaking down below key support. These deteriorating market dynamics raise concerns of a deeper pullback, however other indicators remain largely positive. As a result, we continue to see a mixed, but overall constructive market. Actionable themes highlighted in today's report include Health Care and Real Estate.

The Hang Seng, EURO STOXX 50, MSCI ACWI ex-US, and MSCI EAFE display bearish short-term inflections. Additionally, 10-year yields in the US and Germany are breaking down below key support. These deteriorating market dynamics raise concerns of a deeper pullback, however other indicators remain largely positive. As a result, we continue to see a mixed, but overall constructive market. Global Equity Strategy: Mixed Market Environment Continues As Yields Break Down

Several equity indexes and indicators we watch are telling us an initial primary low has been established for global equities (ACWI-US). At the same time, after this type of major waterfall decline there is often a test of this initial low - and oftentimes we get an undercut of the initial low. Barring approval of a first-line therapy for COVID-19 we are of the belief that we will get an eventual test of this initial low and potentially an undercut. In this report we highlight key technical levels and indicators to watch and suggest investment opportunities with defensive and/or growth characteristics. We are also expanding our recommendations to include bottom-up ideas within several other Sectors.

MSCI Emerging Markets Index / Technical Analysis

Supporting our global bull market thesis, uptrends remain intact for the major global indexes (MSCI ACWI, ACWI ex-US, EAFE, and EM). At this point, concerns surrounding the Wuhan coronavirus have led to some market setbacks and deterioration in market indicators, however they have not resulted in breakdowns. This is true even for areas of the market most-directly affected, including China (MSCI China) and emerging markets (MSCI EM). For these reasons and, as long as there is no significant additional damage, we view recent weakness as a buying opportunity - especially within EM. We see coronavirus concerns as helping correct the excess bullish sentiment and optimism in the short-term.

Guerbet manufactures contrast media for radiology and magnetic resonance imaging.

Carmat is medical technology start-up company. The Company intends to market a fully implantable artificial heart for patients suffering in the aftermath of a heart attack or with late-stage heart failure and for whom standard drug therapy, ventricular assistance and/or a heart transplant have failed or are not possible.

Generale de Sante operates private hospitals.  The Company operates hospitals in France, Italy, Portugal, and Canada.

Orpea operates nursing homes.  The Company serves older clients in all stages of dependency through its facilities located throughout France.

Crossject SA develops needle-free injection systems for liquid medicines. The Company product ZENEO is tailored to deliver drugs intra-dermally, subcutaneously and intramuscularly.

Korian SA operates healthcare facilities, medical establishments.  The Company's facilities include retirement homes and rehabilitation centers. Korian is based in France.

Ipsen SA manufactures and markets a wide range of medical drugs for targeted disease areas including oncology, endocrinology, and neuromuscular disorders.

Virbac SA manufactures antibiotics, worm medicines, and vaccines for veterinary use.  The Company's products are distributed in the United States, Europe, Asia and South America.

Theraclion is a medical device company that specializes in High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU). The Company offers a solution of echotherapy to ablate small lesions.

OLYMPUS CORPORATION manufactures optoelectronic products.  The Company's products include cameras, video sets, endoscopes for medicine and industrial use, microscopes, analytical equipment, office communication systems, laseroptical scanners, and ionic printers.

Globus Medical, Inc. is a medical device company. The Company is focused exclusively on the design, development and commercialization of products that promote healing in patients with spine disorders.  Globus Medical's products fall into innovative fusion or disruptive technologies.

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation Limited designs, manufactures and markets heated humidification products and systems for use in respiratory care and the treatment of sleep apnea.  The Company also offers patient warming and neonatal care products, including warming products and infant resuscitators.

Teleflex Incorporated is a global provider of medical technology products. The Company primarily develops, manufactures and supplies single-use medical devices used by hospitals and healthcare providers for common diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in critical care and surgical applications.

Insulet Corporation is a medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets an insulin infusion system for people with insulin-dependent diabetes.

Hologic, Inc. is a developer, manufacturer and supplier of premium diagnostic products, medical imaging systems, and surgical products. The Company's core business units focus on diagnostics, breast health, GYN surgical, and skeletal health.
