Headline Developments This week’s headline developments is a bit of an NFT special, with some very reputable brands getting in on the action (often the best way to learn is to just dive right in!). Firstly, Visa (V) bought one of the 10,000 CryptoPunk NFTs for $150k in ethereum.

Headline Developments On the back of the Epic v Apple case, documents were released highlighting that Google (GOOG) had considered buying Epic outright.  During the case, Epic Games outlined Google’s plans to develop “a series of internal projects to address the ‘contagion’ it perceived from efforts by Epic and others to offer consumers and developers competitive alternatives and has even contemplated buying some or all of Epic to squelch this threat”.

At $71 billion, or $420/share, Tesla Inc. is a throwaway price. At $500/share the equity value of Tesla approaches $85 billion, which is also too low. In our view, anything less than $100 billion for Tesla is a steal for Musk and fellow investors. The business is already de-risked and has proven itself. We wouldn’t support a $420/share takeout offer, but our stake may not matter to the outcome.
