Manx Telecom plc provides telecommunications products and services, and IT and managed solutions to consumers, businesses, and the public sector in the Isle of Man and internationally. It operates through five segments: Fixed Line, Broadband and Data; Mobile; Global Solutions; Data Centre; and Other. The Fixed Line, Broadband and Data segment offers fixed line, broadband, and connectivity services, connecting approximately 37,000 homes and 4,000 businesses. This segment provides ADSL and VDSL, fixed line, and private circuit rental and connection services. The Mobile segment provides pre-paid and post-paid tariffs to various market segments; and sells mobile handsets and accessories. It offers mobile calls, SMS, data, mobile rental, and roaming services. This segment serves approximately 34,500 pre-paid customers and 30,100 post-paid customers. The Global Solutions segment enables international wholesale and corporate customers to offer various mobile services, such as wholesale voice and SMS, international traveler market, machine to machine, signal roaming, and mobile termination services using Manx Telecom SIM cards. The Data Centre segment offers co-location, managed hosting, cloud, storage, and disaster recovery services to corporate clients through three data centers. The Other segment provides telephone directory, hardware equipment, and interconnection and managed services. The company was formerly known as Trafford Equityco Limited and changed its name to Manx Telecom plc in February 2014. Manx Telecom plc is headquartered in Braddan, the Isle of Man.
