The Investment Business segment provides trading, margin loans, and corporate finance services. The Asset Management Business segment offers fund management services. The company also provides investment banking, consumer financing, merchant banking, and corporate advisory services, as well as advisory services for mergers and acquisitions transactions and joint venture projects; private placement services; capital raising services; portfolio management services; home and mortgage loans; small and medium enterprises financial services; deposit schemes; Internet trading facilities; and value added services, as well as issues bonds, preference shares, and commercial papers. The company was formerly known as Vanik Bangladesh Limited and changed its name to LankaBangla Finance Limited in Aril 2005. LankaBangla Finance Limited was incorporated in 1996 and is headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
