The MSCI Asia Free ex-Japan (MXASJ – 703) regional benchmark, is expected to exceed 1,080 before the bull market that started in 2016 ends, that’s a gain of more than 50% from the current level.This year two MSCI constituent countries have dominated the advance. As at the end of October, the MSCI China had advanced 51%, while the MSCI Korea had gained 45%. The MSCI India is in a distant third place, up 31%.China and Korea account for more than 50% of the MXASJ.  Our Composite Relative Ratings System, calculated and reviewed quarterly, which takes into account seven different technical factors (including: trending, non-trending and reversion) has been Overweight Korea since end December 2015.We remain Korean bulls, the Kospi 200 (KOSPI2 – 338) has continued to set new all-time highs following the breakout from 6-years of ranging. The index is expected to make further impressive gains as the bull market continues to unfold. And it’s not just all about Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix– some 46% of the Korean stocks in our regional universe are in Quintiles 1 and 2 (the top 40% of our universe based on relative strength).
