<p><a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/starhub-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:119:1" rel="noopener">Starhub Ltd (STH SP)</a> share price rebounded after the first call to short it from the pre-Christmas period despite not much had changed in the company's operation and prospect. In this insight, the analyst compared the current mobile offerings among the three telcos and MVNOs. Starhub's mobile plan offerings are more competitive to <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/singapore-telecommunications-limited" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:20:1" rel="noopener">Singtel (ST SP)</a> although it is still more expensive compared to the MVNOs. </p>
<p>The general consensus seems to point out that MVNOs and SIM-only plans are where customers are headed to in the foreseeable future. Starhub's revenue breakdown, however, indicated that customers are still keen to spend some money on <strong>handset equipment</strong>. </p>
<p>Starhub's earnings have only decreased 25% compared to the share price which has dropped <strong>64%</strong> thus there is a potential that its share price will rebound by <strong>28%</strong> if Starhub is to re-gain its <strong>19x</strong> PER. With the potential continuous downward pressure due to more crowded space, it is unlikely that Starhub will trade at 19x PER, therefore, the following scenarios:</p>
