Our process begins by organizing the universe of actively traded stocks into discrete sectors, then into industry groups. We then apply our technical and quantitative tools to identify developing price trends. Once attractive trends are identified within a selected sector or group, we screen for individual stocks which we believe offer the best risk/reward profile. We provide a historical perspective that often reveals, through our long-term charts, how price patterns often repeat themselves over time.

At the same time, there is still more to be desired before we can have confidence in the prospect of a broad market rally. In today’s report we highlight attractive Groups and stocks within Technology and Transportation: Semiconductor Equip., Large/Mid-Cap and Small-Cap, Electronic Equipment Components, and Trucking Large-Cap.

U.S. Equity Strategy: Markets on the Mend, Still Not at Full Health

The S&amp;P 500 remains just short of formidable resistance at its 200-day MA. Yet, there are signs of continued breadth improvement.  Technology in particular continues to top our Sector RSR rankings, fueled by strengthening price and RS action for semiconductors, semi-suppliers, and numerous Software groups. Last week we upgraded our weighting for Technology and its strength continues to broaden out. In this week's report we highlight a number of actionable Technology stocks across our various Groups.

U.S. Tech Stocks Are Leading Market Higher.

U.S. Equity Strategy: Upgrading Utilities; Downgrading Manufacturing

United States

Axcelis Technologies, Inc. manufactures components for the semiconductor industry. The Company designs, manufactures and services ion implantation, dry strip, thermal processing and curing equipment used in the fabrication of semiconductor chips. Axcelis Technologies sells their products to semiconductor chip manufacturers worldwide.

Diodes Incorporated manufactures and supplies discrete, logic, and analog semiconductor devices to consumers in the electronics, computing, industrial, communications, and automotive markets. The Company's products include diodes, transistors, MOSFETs, single gate logic, LED drivers, and USB switches.

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. manufactures power conversion, solar inverters and control systems used in plasma-based thin film production equipment. The Company's systems are integrated in semiconductor, data storage, flat panel display, and other industrial manufacturing equipment that use gaseous  plasmas to depositor etch thin film layers on materials such as silicon and glass.

Synaptics Incorporated develops custom-designed user interface solutions.  The Company's solutions enable people to interact with a variety of mobile computing and communications devices.  Synaptics offers a touch-sensitive pad that senses the position of a person's finger on its surface to provide screen navigation, cursor movement, and a platform of interactive input.

Power Integrations, Inc. designs, develops, and markets analog integrated circuits for use in alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) power conversion.  The Company sells its products to original equipment manufacturers in the cellular telephone, consumer electronics, personal computer, and industrial electronics industries.

Silicon Laboratories Inc. designs and develops analog-intensive, mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs) for the wireless, wireline, and optical communications industries. Mixed-signal ICs are electronic components that process both digital signals and real-world analog signals, such as sound and radio waves.

Impinj, Inc. provides radio-frequency identification solutions for identifying, locating, and authenticating items. The Company offers radio chips, gateways, readers and antennas, and software. Impinj serves customers worldwide.

Ambarella, Inc. manufactures high definition video compression and image processing semiconductors. The Company products are used in digital still cameras, camcorders, and video-enabled mobile phones.

Parade Technologies Ltd is a fabless semiconductor company that specialzies in high-speed video interfacing and processing products used in personal computer and consumer electronics applications, such as digital TVs, DVDs, monitors and display panels, and set-top boxes.

Rambus Inc. designs, develops, licenses, and markets high-speed chip-to-chip interface technology to enhance the performance and cost-effectiveness of consumer electronics, computer systems, and other electronic systems.  The Company licenses semiconductor companies to manufacture and sell memory and logic ICs incorporating Rambus interface technology.

Flat Glass Group Co., Ltd is a PV glass manufacturer. The Company also markets float glass, household glass and architectural glass.

eMemory Technology, Inc. develops and provides logic non-volatile memory (LogicNVM) technology. The company licenses its intellectual property to semiconductor foundries, integrated devices manufacturers (IDMs), and fabless design houses around the world.

ROHM COMPANY LIMITED manufactures custom linear integrated circuits and semiconductor devices for use primarily in consumer electronics.  The Company has plants and sales offices worldwide.  Rohm's subsidiaries include Wako Electric and Apollo Electronics.

Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. supplies silicon-based products, including silicon lapped wafer, silicon diffusion wafer, silicon ingot, silicon diffused diode chip, and automobile rectifier.  The Company sells its products worldwide.

GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd is a Chinese power company that produces solar grade polysilicon and operates cogeneration plants and in China.

FormFactor Inc, designs, develops, and manufactures advanced semiconductor wafer probe cards.
