Export and Industry Bank, Inc., through its subsidiaries, engages in the commercial banking, and trust and funds management businesses. The company�s deposit products include savings and checking accounts, and time deposits; and corporate and consumer loans consist of omnibus lines, time loans, discounting lines, bills purchase lines, back-to-back loans, term loans, and home mortgage loans. It also provides trade financing services, such as pre-shipment and post-shipment financing, as well as other trade services comprising documentary collection, telegraphic transfer arrangements, standby letters of credit, and issuance of shipside bond/bank guarantees; and financial instruments trading distribution and services, including foreign-exchange services, treasury bills and fixed rate treasury notes, retail treasury bonds, repurchase and reverse repurchase agreements, short term/long term commercial paper and corporate bonds, ROP bonds, U.S. treasuries, and USD denominated bonds. In addition, the company offers unit investment trust funds, living trusts, investment management accounts, insurance trusts, retirement/pension trusts, and trusteeship of pre-need plans, as well as escrow, custodianship, mortgage trust indenture, estate planning, and wealth management services. Further, it provides convenience banking; retail services consisting of social security system payments, philhealth payments, telegraphic transfer, safety deposit box, manager�s checks, and traveler�s checks; and corporate services, such as payroll crediting, PC-based payroll system, and deposit pick-up. The company operates 50 branches. Export and Industry Bank was incorporated in 1980 and is based in Makati City, the Philippines. As of April 27, 2012, Export & Industry Bank, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of BDO Unibank Inc.
