<h3>Graph Analysis – Review</h3>
<p>According to Graph 1, there has been a downtrend for the EUR/USD exchange rate in the past month. During the examined period, there were three secondary movements. More specifically, the currency pair moved upward from November 2nd to November 9th. Shortly after, the currency pair followed a downward trend from November 10st to November 24th. Finally, the pair increased in value from November 25st to December 3th. From November 3rd until November 5th, the MA 20 traded below the MA 10 while on November 6st, the short-term MA crossed below the long-term one. The Candle Bar, Graph 2, depicts that most of the candles were red over the period under consideration. In Graph 3, the PPO line was fluctuating throughout the period in negative territory providing a potential sell signal. In Graph 4, the MACD remained below the signal line for the whole month, alluding to a respective sell signal.</p>

<p>On November 1st, the Dollar fell due to investors looking to the US Fed interest rate meeting taking place in the middle of the week. | On November 4th, the Dollar gained ground as Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said Fed would start tapering its bond-purchase program later in the month. | On November 9th, the pair traded higher due to concerns appearing in the market over tapering and hike rates by Fed. | On November 10th, the Dollar rose due to speculations about the U.S. inflation data. | On November 11th, USD rose owing to an increase in U.S. inflation and the anticipation of higher interest rates by the Federal Reserve. | On November 12th, EUR/USD traded bearish because of the sharp rise in U.S. inflation for October 2021. European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde stated that in 2022 it’s very unlikely to see interest rate hikes. | The following trading session, November 15th, the Euro dropped further as ECB President Christine Lagarde made a dovish statement in the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs. | From November 16th until November 17th the pair went bearish because of increasing Covid-19 cases in Europe and concerns about possible risk of renewed lockdowns. | On November 19th the Euro fell after Lagarde’s speech to the Frankfurt European Banking Congress, where she warned that the ECB“must not rush into a premature tightening” of monetary policy. | On November 22nd, the safe-haven U.S. Dollar traded close to a multi-month high to the Euro on growing anxiety over the impact of surging COVID-19 infections in Europe. | On November 23rd, the Euro edged higher following announcement of Eurozone Private Sector preliminary PMIs. | On November 24th the pair recorded losses due to decrease in German Business sentiment for November 2021. | On November 25th, the Dollar slipped slightly against the Euro, having strengthened previously due to market expectations that the U.S. Federal Reserve would raise rates sooner than other major central banks. | In the following trading session, the Euro gained significant ground against Dollar due to dovish repricing in global central bank expectations. | On November 29th, the pair dropped after ECB’s Vice President’s negative comments about inflation affecting the economic growth in Eurozone.| On December 1st, the Dollar steadied as risk appetite recovered, but Euro-Dollar volatility remained elevated as investors weighed up hawkish comments from the Federal Reserve and risks relating to the Omicron Covid-19 variant. | On December 3rd, the exchange rate increased as the U.S. nonfarming payrolls failed to meet the expectations.</p>

<p>According to Graph 1, there has been a relatively narrow fluctuation for the EUR/USD exchange rate. During the examined period starting from December 8th, 2021 and ending on January 7th, 2022, there were three main movements for the exchange rate. More specifically, the currency pair followed a downward trend from the start of the month and up to December 17th. Shortly after, the exchange rate had a slight increase from December 17th to December 31st. Finally, the pair fell in value from December 31st to January 6th. Throughout the period, the MA 10 and MA 20 were moving sideways with the short- term MA remaining broadly above the long-term MA. The Candle Bar, Graph 2, depicts that the candles were equally split between green and red over the period under consideration. In Graph 3, the PPO was fluctuating in negative territory providing a potential sell signal, whereas in Graph 4, the MACD was trading above the signal line for almost the entire period.</p>

<p>On December 1st, 2021, EUR/USD edged lower after some intra-day losses realized by the dollar when Fed Chair Jerome Powell indicated the U.S. central bank is likely to speed up the tapering of its asset purchases. | On December 2nd, EUR/USD continued to slide at the close as the U.S. confirmed its first Omicron Variant case with investors turning towards the safe haven of the dollar. Also the dollar edged higher due to expectations that the upcoming U.S. monthly job report could create a quicker pace of tapering and early interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve. | On December 7th, the Euro fell as the German manufacturing orders decreased by 6.9% in October 2021, further increasing disbelief about the growth outlook of manufacturers in the European region. | On December 8th, the dollar lost ground as the indications for milder symptoms by the Omicron variant led to an increase in the risk appetite of the market with capital movements favoring the Euro. | On December 13th and the following trading day, the pair fell with the dollar reaching a one-week high ahead of the Federal Reserve meeting which was expected to lead to a hawkish outcome and indication for the markets. | On December 17th, the EUR/USD exchange rate fell further as it was once again affected the Federal Reserve's hawkish announcements for acceleration in the tapering of its bond-buying program. | On December 20th, the pair went bullish despite the surging numbers of Omicron-variant Covid-19 cases which prompted tighter mobility restrictions, threatening the European region’s economic recovery. | From December 21st until December 23rd, the dollar slipped as growing optimism for the global economic outlook led to the increase of the risk sentiment with the Euro being favored from the trading patterns. | On December 30th, 2021, the dollar edged higher while the release of the ISM manufacturing PMI for December was in focus. | In early January 2022, the Euro increased, as Eurozone inflation was expected to settle around 5%, over and above the analysts' forecasts.</p>
