For the year to date, Cheung Kong Property has made no land acquisitions in Hong Kong. The company said it had participated in several land auctions, but all of its bids fell short. Meanwhile, the company engaged in its first share buybacks in late March, with another in late May. It acquired 14 million shares, or 0.37% of the total shares outstanding, at an average price of HKD 46.65 per share.We believe that Cheung Kong Properties will remain conservative with land acquisitions in the near term, managing its capital through share buybacks and dividend payouts. The shares are attractively priced at 11 times forward earnings and 0.7 times the book value.Analysts: Phillip Zhong &amp; Michael Wu, CAIA
